So you’re constantly posting, posting and posting on social media, everyday. On your profile, on your business page or in groups. Crickets. Sometimes you may spend an hour or two, still crickets. You’re posting at a time you THINK your posts might be seen. Yet and still, more crickets.
You’re frustrated, you’re tired, you want to throw in the towel. You ask yourself what do I have to do to start getting people to engage my posts?!?!
You began to do some thinking and assess why your engagement may be low? Boring posts? Not enough value? Or maybe people are just not interested in what I have to say? These are things you should very much consider if your engagement is low, however in this particular post I will focus on when to post (time) on social media.
Does it matter when I post on social media?
To answer your question, YES ……and here’s the number one reason why.
The days and times your audience is highly engage.
Yes! Posting (the most) on the days and time when your audience is most active will guarantee you the most interaction with your posts. Oh btw don’t forget that you must also engage as well responding to comments and questions. It keeps the conversation alive and going. The infographic (below) shows the times in which I’ve tried and tested myself that is best for social media posting and scheduling.
So how do I know when my audience is engaged you ask?
1. Try different posting times– In order to figure out when are the best times to post takes a little trial and error meaning trying out different posting time frames and see how your post performs. Most social media platforms offer analytics reports showing you your top posts(the ones that got the most engagement) how well each of your posts performed, how many people were reached, how many people were engaged, the age group of those engaged, gender, where they are (location), when and what time they are most engaged just to name a few. Be sure to pay attention to your analytics to get an idea of and become aware of all of the aforementioned information to make time and posting adjustments if need be.
2. Use Social Media Schedulers- don’t have much time to post to social media?Social media schedulers such as Hootsuite, Tailwind, Board booster, Social Oomph, Buffer, Twittimer just to name a few are here to save the day! ….and the time. Not only do social media schedulers schedule your posts on autopilot so you won’t have to, but schedulers post for you at the right time when your audience is most engaged so you won’t have to spend a lot of time figuring out when your audience is active.
Social Media schedulers do most of the work for you. Makes things less overwhelming and less stressful for the busy Mompreneur huh?
There are a plethora of social media scheduler apps out there and you can pick and choose which ones are most suitable (and likable) for you. I’ll name a few that I use now and in the past as follows:
Most of these tools except 4 & 7 can be found in your android or iPhone device App Store (and most are free). I will post several links at the end of this post so that you can read and review in your spare time discussing the features and pricing of these tools.
Do you schedule your social media posts? If not, will you start and how do you feel that it will help you save time and grow your audience as you hope?
