How To Simply Turn An Infographic Into A Facebook Story Or A Instagram Story Post (With Video)

Facebook Stories and Instagram Stories are a photo sharing feature on each platform in which users can post photographs and other visual content such as videos up until 24 hours to be viewed by the public, friends and followers. Facebook also allows stories to be shared on business and group pages. Facebook Stories and Instagram stories are  an overlooked feature by some as a way of sharing all types of posts and visuals (personal (i.g., family photos) and professional).  Most importantly if you’re building a business valuable content such as videos, graphics, infographics, GIFs, and other social media visual content you should be using this feature as one way to get FREE exposure. You can even take one type of content and repurpose (modify) it into another type of content for another social media platform. I will show you how to do that in this  post; I will show you how to simply turn an infographic into a Facebook story or an Instagram story post.

Follow along with (and bear with me) as I show you how step by step.

Step 1:

Download the Canva (as seen in the picture below) iPhone/android app from your phone’s App Store. It’s free.

Step 2:

After you download the app sign in. You will then see the main screen with all the different social media post templates at the top. Select the your story template.

Step 3:

Go to your designs.

Step 4:

Choose an infographic (you must already have one made and ready to edit, like mine below. Download it to your phone in your photos. Watch my video How To Create Infographics in Canva.

Step 5:

Go back to the my story template choose a blank my story template. Tap on the template, upload the infographic, pinch and drag to adjust to your liking, just like below.

***NOTE***: The My Story template is ONLY available on the app, however when you create a my story post in the app it will save to your account and you will be able to at least do more editing in Canva on the website from your desktop.

Step 6: After pinching and dragging to your liking here’s the result below

Step 7: Save and download, log in to Instagram or Facebook, tap on stories and upload from phone and follow stories upload directions.

……And you’re all done!

Here’s my results

1. Instagram Stories

2. Facebook Stories

I’ve created a video tutorial here if you prefer to watch instead of read.

I hope that you have gotten value from this and drop a comment to let me know what you think. Do you use Facebook stories? Or Instagram Stories? Both? I look forward to your feedback.

Have A Blessed Day!
